I just purchased A Simpler Time and it claims that it has the ability to customize the background color. Even after I press save it doesn’t seem to take and reverts back to the original background design of the blog theme. Can I actually change the background? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is daddysmuesli.wordpress.com

Hi there, it looks like you’ve managed to change your background to orange – is this what you wanted, or are you still having trouble with it?

Could you let me know where you were having difficulty getting the background colour to save? Was it:

    1) Under Customize > Colors?

    2) Under Appearance > Background?

If you’re still having trouble, could you please try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome, and let me know if you still have any issues? Thanks.

Hi there – just wanted to check in and see whether this is all sorted or if you still need any help with it? Thanks!

Hi! Yes thanks I figured that out finally! Another question though…is it possible to change the font for the titles of blog posts and pages? The swirly ‘fancy’ one they use is pretty but not really appropriate for my uses.

    Thanks!

Great, glad the background colour is all sorted!

If you’re interested in changing your site’s fonts, you could have a look at the Custom Design upgrade, which is $30/year. It lets you choose from a whole collection of fonts, and you can read more about it on the Custom Fonts support page.

Just let me know if you have any other questions.
