Maybe I’m missing something. I don’t want to allow comments in my galleries (I have two galleries). I unchecked the Allow comments and Allow pingbacks buttons on both pages. I also bulk-edited the Comments and pingbacks for the two pages.

So, on my thumbnail page of each of my galleries, there are no comments areas, which is nice. But when I click on an individual image, the comments sections return.

    Help?

The blog I need help with is terryfreemarkwatercolors.com

    Hi Terry!

You’ll want to try disabling comments on each of your individual gallery posts.

Please let us know if this helps :)

Don’t mean to seem dense, but I’m at a loss. When I click on the individual image in the gallery, I have no ability to edit it from the gallery page.

    Is there another avenue?

Never mind – I think I got it. I went into my media library and disabled each gallery post there.

One more question – when I click on the individual images, I have successfully removed the comments section. But how do I remove the Reblog icon?

OK, I may have answered my own question. When I look at my gallery images and click on them when I’m logged on to my site, the “reblog” icon shows up. When I’m not logged on, the “reblog” icon is no longer there. So basically, that’s what the public is seeing when they click on my individual gallery thumbnails, right?

    Hi Terry!

I am going to move this question over to the general questions forum. It seems that the issue you are experiencing is with WordPress.com’s slideshow gallery. I am not sure how the reblog button is supposed to and a WordPress.com can assist you with that.

Hi Terry – only logged-in WordPress.com users will get the “reblog” option. This is what it looks like when I’m not logged in, for example:

Just let me know if you need further help!

Excellent! I’m going to mark this as resolved and close the thread, but if you have any other questions feel free to start a new one!
