I have recently purchased corporatethemedemo.wordpress.com to use it in a website. I decided to move the website from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. Support told me there is a way for some premium themese to be transferred to a self-hosted site at no charge, as part of a Guided Transfer.
Does this theme qualifies for the free transfer? Help please!Hi there, Corporate would need to be purchased again for a self-hosted site, but you can get a full refund for your WordPress.com purchase of Corporate within 30 days of purchase. Looks like you bought it on January 8, so you still have some time to get a refund. You can issue yourself a refund in your purchases dashboard, or a Happiness Engineer could take care of it for you as part of a Guided Transfer. Just be aware that once you get a refund for Corporate, your site will be automatically switched to a different theme, so if you’re planning to replicate your current site on a new host, I’d suggest trying to time it so that you do the transfer before the refund.
I also wanted to mention that if you opted to go with a Premium or Business plan at WordPress.com, all premium themes (including Corporate) are included. The Business plan now includes the ability to upload your own plugins, just in case you weren’t aware – it’s a relatively new feature! You can learn more here:
