We are currently in the process of transferring a WordPress.com hosted blog to our own webspace. We would very much like to keep the current theme (Forefront), so could you please let us know whether there’s a chance to use it on our self-hosted site?

WordPress.com themes can only be used on WordPress.com sites, but Forefront is available for self-hosted sites through Creative Market:

https://creativemarket.com/automattic/21385-Forefront

If you use the Guided Transfer service, the self-hosted version of the theme will be included at no extra cost.
