The Sugar Breakup.MemberWhen viewing our site on an iPad, the top menu works perfectly, but fails to render on an iPhone (which is strange, as iPad & iPhone both use Mobile Safari).
The iPad & iPhone are both running the latest iOS 6.
The blog I need help with is thesugarbreakup.comJuly 25, 2013 at 2:27 am #137289
MichelleThat looks like a bug in the theme. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I’ve reported it to our team and we’ll get it fixed as soon as possible. I’ll let you know when we have a fix.

The Sugar Breakup.MemberThank you, also seems to be a problem when accessing certain pages such as our “Recipes” page from our “Recipes” menu item — the page renders like a skinny newspaper column along the left edge of the phone screen, with lots of white space at the middle and right hand side of the screen.

MichelleThe menu should now display properly on iPhones. Thank you for your patience!

I viewed http://thesugarbreakup.com/recipe-contents/ on my iPhone (as well as many other pages on your site), and so far they all look fine on my end. Can you check it again and let me know if the rendering is still off? Thanks!

The Sugar Breakup.MemberThank you, it works on some iPhones (running iOS 5), but it seems to still be a problem for me, this is what the front page looks like now (on an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1.2 (even when i rotate it to landscape) :

MichelleHi there,
Thanks for the screenshot. Can you clear the cache on your iPhone’s browser and see if that makes any difference?
August 6, 2013 at 6:29 am #137867
The Sugar Breakup.MemberThe top menu works now! Clearing the cache did the trick, thank you!
Only, the menu fix may have introduced another issue :
— the right hand side widgets are now missing from the right hand side, and only display after the last news post at the bottom of the page.

MichelleGlad clearing the cache worked!
I looked at thesugarbreakup.com on my iPhone, and the widgets are appearing normally.
Can you make a screenshot of what you see? Is it happening on the iPhone, deskop, or both? Thanks!

MichelleThanks for the screenshot! That’s strange, because it displays fine on my iPhone. I will ask my team members if they can reproduce the same problem on their phones.
August 22, 2013 at 8:18 pm #138795
Caroline MooreHowdy! I’m also unable to reproduce this on my iPhone (5). Are you still having this issue?
August 27, 2013 at 7:09 am #138969
The Sugar Breakup.MemberYes, even tried downloading a few different browsers (“Dolphin” and “Chrome”) on my iPhone 4s, but still same issue.
Have checked out the web page on a few friends iPhones, and it seems to render ok on their iPhone 5 and 4s, so will chalk it up to some strange setup on my phone — should i mark this topic as “resolved” ?

MichelleI will mark this topic as resolved for now, but if you start noticing the problem on other phones besides yours, feel free to start a new topic.
Cheers,
Michelle
