When I do a keyword search on my business site for things like “customer relations” or “profit,” it brings up huge blocks of everything listed on any page that shows those words, but does not highlight or bold the search words.

It’s a very clunky search function. Any way to make the results more specific? If not, is it possible to add a “Powered by Google” searchbar that can do this?

    Thanks for your help.

Hi there! Sorry for the delay in responding.

The search feature included with this theme is the standard WordPress search, which unfortunately is not very advanced.

It’s not possible to add a Google search box to your site directly, but you can create a Google Custom Search engine and link to it from your WordPress.com blog.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for your help. I am making a list of distributors/suppliers for our clients and I want them to be able to search that page only for the information they need. What would be the best way to set up a search for just one page?

A Google Custom Search engine can search the contents of one page or series of pages you specify: http://www.google.com/cse/

    Hi publicmfmi,

I’m just checking in with you. Were you able to try the Google Custom Search engine?
