    How do I delete the search box in the upper left section of the page?

    There’s no theme option for hiding the header search bar but it is something that could be hidden with the custom design upgrade with Custom CSS like the following …

    #header-search-form {
    display: none;
    }

    I hope that helps!

    I have the package that contains custom design. I am really not understanding the jargon. Can you help with the exact steps on how to accomplish removal of the search box in the header.

    Hi @paivery,

    I’d be happy to help you with this. You can hide the search box in the header with the following steps:

    1. In your Dashboard, go to Appearance → Custom Design, and click on “Custom Design”.

    2. In the Custom Design main screen, you’ll see two tabs near the top of the page. Click the “CSS” tab.

    3. In the CSS Editor, paste the code that @themeshaper has provided above (I see that you have already done this).

    4. Next, near the bottom of the CSS Editor, make sure you select: “Add my CSS to Elemin’s CSS stylesheet.” This will allow Elemin to appear normally, but without the search box.

    5. Click “Save Stylesheet” and view your site to make sure the search box no longer appears.

    Does this help? Be sure to let us know if you have any more questions.

    Hi paivery,

    Can you tell me specifically which part of the process you are having trouble with? Which steps have you tried already?

    paivery,

    My apologies, it looks like there was a minor error in the CSS that we provided you. It should be:

    .header-search-form {

    display: none;

    }

    (should be a period in front of header-search-form instead of a # sign).

    I went ahead and fixed this for you, and the search box is now hidden.
