holocaustgenocideeducationMemberBy default, this theme shows social media buttons at the bottom of each page. There’s no way to configure or remove these buttons in the Customizer (or elsewhere). How does one deal with these buttons in 2019? (OR does WP consider this theme so old that it should not be used any more?)

Ed ThomasHi there!
There’s no way to configure or remove these buttons in the Customizer (or elsewhere). How does one deal with these buttons in 2019? (OR does WP consider this theme so old that it should not be used any more?)
Are you referring to the sharing buttons, like the ones in the screenshot below?
If so, those buttons can be removed from the Sharing panel of the Tools > Marketing area of WordPress.com here: https://wordpress.com/marketing/sharing-buttons/
In the panel beneath the Options heading on that page, you can un-check the option to show those buttons on pages, and then click the Save Changes button to make those changes live on your site!
I marked them off on this screenshot:
There’s a bit more information about the settings for sharing buttons here, if you’re interested: https://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/
If I’ve misunderstood what you were asking about, please let me know and I’ll take another look for you!
Also, just a heads-up that since your site has a Premium plan, you’re entitled to live-chat and email support, accessible here: https://wordpress.com/help/contact
You’re welcome to still post in these forums, of course, but those other support avenues may be faster, and you’ll always get a staff reply :)
I hope this helps! Please let me know if there’s any other information I can provide.
