    I’d like to remove the shaded box behind the ‘Simpler Time’ header if possible? Is there a way to do this in CSS?

    Also, can I change the colour of the date posts from green to something else? So ‘Posted on…’ would be red for example.

    Finally, the colour of the dashed lines within each post – and the colour of the green ‘ribbon effect’ on the right sidebar – can these also be changed?

    I’m new to CSS so if you could just post the code i can paste in that would be a great help. Thanks.

    The blog I need help with is glorybemails.wordpress.com

    Hi there.

    I’d like to remove the shaded box behind the ‘Simpler Time’ header if possible? Is there a way to do this in CSS?

    You can do this with the following CSS:

    #masthead hgroup,

    .hgroup-liner {

    background: none;

    }

    Also, can I change the colour of the date posts from green to something else? So ‘Posted on…’ would be red for example.

    Try this:

    header .entry-meta, header .entry-meta a {

    color: red;

    }

    Finally, the colour of the dashed lines within each post – and the colour of the green ‘ribbon effect’ on the right sidebar – can these also be changed?

    Unfortunately those cannot be changed with CSS because they are images; you could create a new image and swap the current one out with CSS, but you could not change the dashes as they currently are with just CSS.

    Hope that helps.
