I love this theme. I have a few questions (I am a WordPress.com novice). I didn’t see that the following were answered on the forum.
1. Can you add picture and video inside of a post? I saw below that thumbnails on post excerpts are not supported, but I wasn’t sure if media inside the posts were supported.
2. Does the theme support membership plug-ins? Translation plug-ins?
3. Are all browsers supported? If not, what browsers are supported?

1. Definitely, you can add images inside a post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/
You can also embed video from many sources, such as YouTube and Vimeo: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/
If you’d like to upload videos directly to your site, you can do so through VideoPress, included in the Premium or Business plan.
2. WordPress.com comes with a range of built-in plugins, but it’s not possible to install new ones.
There are a couple of ways to set up a multilingual site on WordPress.com:

A membership site would need to be set up manually, where you could invite users to a private site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
If you need full-fledged membership or multilingual capabilities, you might want to consider a self-hosted WordPress site, where you run the software on your own hosting and can install any plugin. You can learn here about the differences between WordPress.com and self-hosted (WordPress.org) sites:

3. We support the most recent two versions of all major browsers. The theme may also work fine work on older versions as well.
