I’ve read other threads and didn’t find an answer to my specific problem.
Last night I upgraded my theme from Natisha to the premium Simfo. It went smoothly, except some of the images did not transfer to the front page grid. Several images, for unexplainable reasons, simply show up as a grey placard. The placard when clicked links to the image in the post, but I would like it to display on the front page with all the other images, which transferred fine.
All posts were created the same way, so I’m not sure why just a few didn’t transfer over. Again, they are viewable when clicked on the post – just not showing up on the front page grid (which was the reason I bought the theme.)
I’ve tried clearing cache and cookies, and also deleting and re-adding the image in the dashboard post.
Also, on the main page, one of my posts images shows up twice for two separate posts. I click on both links and both the images (two different images) are correct within the posts. Just on the page it displays the same image twice.
Otherwise, I’m very happy with how the theme looks!
Thank you in advance for your help.

P.S. – Unfortunately, this is happening with not just old posts that transferred over, but new posts as well. I uploaded a new post and the image on the front page doesn’t come through. Click on the link to the post and it’s there alright, but it’s not showing up on the main page.
I look forward to a response.

Hi, Sharon K. again. I just counted, and the problem I described above (photo not showing up on my page but being there when clicked on the link to the specific post) has occurred on 17 of my 196 posts.
Thank you.August 5, 2013 at 11:43 pm #137837
In order for an image to appear in the front page grid, it must: 1) be set as the featured image for that post; or 2) be uploaded as an attachment to that post. Otherwise, you’ll see the grey placeholder. To fix it, you will either need to make sure those 17 posts all have a featured image, or if not, at least one image that’s attached to the post. To attach an image to a specific post, open that post for editing, and then clicking on “Add Media” to upload the image.
Can you provide a link to one of the posts that’s showing the placeholder, so that I can confirm that this is the case?August 6, 2013 at 1:38 pm #137887
Thanks for finally getting back to me. I got advice from a blogging pal and fixed the problem a few days ago.August 6, 2013 at 6:27 pm #137909
Glad you were able to get the problem fixed. I’ll close this thread, but feel free to start a new one if you have any other questions.
