    this is really sad
I received infinite scrolling today with my blog over at http://blog.davidudvardyphoto.com using a heavily customized Anthem theme (I bet you wouldn’t recognize it)

I love this theme, the key feature for me is the automatic slideshow
but infinite scrolling completely ruins this, as with every post after page 1 it just shows the images one by one below each other making the blog a complete mess (I have galleries with as much as 50 images, obviously I wanted them to show up as a single entry with slideshow functionality)
even if I turn the feature off from Settings > Reading, it won’t show normal paging controls but instead a Load more button, which does the same as the automatic infinite scrolling

moreover, it added a sticky footer covering my photos after a pageful of scroll, thanks, but no thanks

do you guys have any plans to fix this?
or is this rather a job for the Automattic devs?
please help, I feel cheated after paying for this theme and now losing its nicest feature

The blog I need help with is blog.davidudvardyphoto.com

found a quick fix: crank up the number of posts to show per page (Settings > Reading > Blog pages show at most __ posts)

Hi there. Really sorry for the headaches. Can you give me the exact URLs where I can see this problem in action? I’ll look into it. Cheers.

Nevermind. I think you’re referring to pages like this one; I suspect there’s a conflict with the theme’s JavaScript and the JavaScript of Infinite Scroll, and I’ll have to look into fixing this today. IS will be kept in the theme; if you don’t like the floating footer then you can definitely use the “click” version of IS. Thanks for your patience and sorry again for the headaches.

wow Philip, thanks for the prompt reply!

actually you can experience the issue I described even on the basic post listing, here:

I defined posts/page as 50, but have a bit more posts altogether, so there is a load more button at the bottom, just click on it to see all the gallery type posts breaking up to individual images listed below each other (might take a while to load the page).

Sounds good, and thanks for giving me more information about this. I’ll update the thread as soon as I figure out what’s going on. Cheers.

Just following up from the other topic which was now closed – thanks for implementing the infinite scrolling Philip, although didn’t realise it would have an effect on the slideshows!

Hi gang. I know this is super-late but I just want to let you know that this has been fixed. The slideshows should work in IS-loaded posts. Thanks so much for the patience and sorry for the delays!
