    I would like a custom menu link URL to open a new tab instead navigating away from my site. Is there a way to do that in the Link Text box?

    Sure, you can do that using the Link Targets option, which you can activate under the Advanced Menu Settings. Instructions are here:

    In a nutshell:

    1) Click Screen Options at top right of the Custom Menus page

    2) Click Link Targets checkbox

    3) In each menu item, you’ll now see a checkbox that says “Open link in a new window/tab” – click it on any menu items you want
