As the Forefront theme doesn’t work properly in IE8 or IE7 (about 8% of my users) I’m trying to add some CSS to target those browsers specifically and tidy things up.
A reply to my previous post (now closed) said to use this syntax:
<!--[if IE 8]>
your IE 8 styles here
However, this doesn’t work. The first and last lines get stripped out leaving the CSS visible to all browsers.
Am I missing something? Or is there another way I can do what I’m trying to do.
Apologies – there’s a mistake in my reply in the other thread. Those IE-specific comments can only be added to HTML files, not CSS files.
Unfortunately I can’t think of a way to target CSS for older versions of IE.
Could you give me a specific example of something that doesn’t work properly in IE8?
Did you still need any help with this?

Hi there, I’m going to close this thread since it’s been a while since we heard from you, but feel free to start a new one if you need further help. Thanks!
