I would have added these questions to my existing topic but it has been closed.

    1. I do not want that field at the beginning of every new post, it shifts all the content to the right. Is there any way to simply relocate this to the bottom of each post? I think it would be helpful to have the words “Leave a Comment” at the bottom of each post.

    2. Also, is there a way to have all the existing comments show at the bottom of each post? As opposed to the words ‘4 Comments’ and someone would have to click on it to see the comments.

    3. If I purchase the customize CSS option, will I be able to use custom CSS to enable the font called ‘Garamond’?

    4. I am still confused about Pages and Tags. If I wanted to create a new page called “Wanderlust”, it would add the title “wanderlust” at the top of the page next to the word ‘Home’, correct? Then, if you click on it, I want to have any post I have added the tag ‘wanderlust’ in the past on Tumblr to show up there, in a chronological list. How do I make that happen?

    5. I have seen some sites where they have pretty archive pages which show all the posts at a glance as photo icons, like squares across the page. Then clicking on one of those squares opens the post. Is there any way to create an archive page like this in Elemin?

Finally, if I wanted to add a title at the top of the page next to ‘Home’ that says ‘Search’ and maybe when you hover on it, a box would appear to search, is that possible with CSS or pages?

    Thank you!!

    Hello,

Yes, we try to keep one issue to one forum post; it’s easier that way to keep track of what’s been resolved.

I do not want that field at the beginning of every new post, it shifts all the content to the right. Is there any way to simply relocate this to the bottom of each post? I think it would be helpful to have the words “Leave a Comment” at the bottom of each post.

This is part of the theme’s design and can’t be modified that way, unfortunately.

Also, is there a way to have all the existing comments show at the bottom of each post? As opposed to the words ‘4 Comments’ and someone would have to click on it to see the comments.

All comments show up at the bottom of the post’s full view (sometimes called the single view). This can be seen by clicking on a post’s title from the main home page. This is not done on the home page, so that viewers can see as many posts as possible.

If I purchase the customize CSS option, will I be able to use custom CSS to enable the font called ‘Garamond’?

The Custom Design upgrade will allow you to choose custom fonts (Custom CSS is also part of the Custom Design upgrade, but not related to changing fonts). Garamond, however, is not one of the 50+ standard fonts we have available. To use Garamond, you would need your own Typekit account and Custom Fonts set to advanced mode; more info can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/#advanced-mode

Yes, if you create a page, you can add it to the menu on the Appearance > Menus screen. There’s more info about working with menus here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Is the purpose to have an archive of your old Tumblr site? You can import your Tumblr posts into your WordPress site automatically with the importer (rather than compile them by hand on a page, unless that’s what you want to do). By using the importer, your Tumblr posts will each be a WordPress post that you could tag as “tumblr”, and then have them all display together on the “tumblr” tag archive.

If this sounds interesting, you can find more info about importing from Tumblr here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-tumblr/

I have seen some sites where they have pretty archive pages which show all the posts at a glance as photo icons, like squares across the page. Then clicking on one of those squares opens the post. Is there any way to create an archive page like this in Elemin?

There is not, I’m afraid; each theme has its own dedicated design for presenting archives.

Finally, if I wanted to add a title at the top of the page next to ‘Home’ that says ‘Search’ and maybe when you hover on it, a box would appear to search, is that possible with CSS or pages?

While having the search integrated into the menu isn’t possible, there is a dedicated search field at the top left corner above the header image.

    Regards,

    Kirk
