    Hi,

    I would like to add my copyright information at the bottom line of my blog. It should look like this, © 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba. Can you please help me with the CSS, thanks.

    Cheers
    Jean

    The blog I need help with is theeagertraveller.com

    Hi there, this CSS should do it:

    .site-info:before {
    content: "Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba";
    display: block;
    }

    If you’d like it come after the existing footer, just change “before” to “after.” If you’d prefer it all on one line, remove “display: block”

    Thanks for the code, Kathryn.

    Unfortunately, I can’t see anything despite adding,

    /*

    Add copyright in footer

    */

    .site-info:after {

    content: “Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba”;

    }

    or

    /*

    Add copyright in footer

    */

    .site-info:after {

    content: “Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba”;

    ;

    }

    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Just to clarify, what did you mean by ‘If you’d prefer it all on one line’. As in one line with ‘Blog at WordPress.com. | Customized Forefront Theme.’?

    I also want it to appear before ‘Blog at WordPress.com. | Customized Forefront Theme.’?’, is that what you meant as well by changing before to after?

    I’d also like to add a couple of hyperlinks after the copyright, perhaps the milestones page, http://theeagertraveller.com/milestones/.

    Is that fine too? Thanks

    Hmm, that’s odd. When I add this to my test site with Forefront:

    .site-info:before {
    content: "Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba";
    display: block;
    }

    This is what I see:

    It looks like you may have accidentally mixed in the new code with some existing CSS:

    .category-the-big-blog-exchange .hero.without-featured-image {
    background-image: url('http://theeagertraveller.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/banner-2.jpg');
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-color: transparent;
    /*
    Add copyright in footer
    */
    content: "Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba";
    }

    You need to take out this part:

    content: “Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba”;

    …and instead add the full CSS statement provided above, starting with .site-info:before

    I also want it to appear before ‘Blog at WordPress.com. | Customized Forefront Theme.’?’, is that what you meant as well by changing before to after?

    Yes, exactly. “After” puts the new text below the existing copyright line, while “before” puts it above.

    Just to clarify, what did you mean by ‘If you’d prefer it all on one line’. As in one line with ‘Blog at WordPress.com. | Customized Forefront Theme.’?

    Right.

    I’d also like to add a couple of hyperlinks after the copyright

    It’s not possible to add links in the CSS, but you could add them to one of your Footer widgets instead.

    Hi there,

    I pasted below as mentioned,

    /*

    Add copyright in footer

    */

    .site-info:before {

    content: “Copyright 2013 TheEagerTraveller.com by Jean Alaba”;

    }

    However, I still can’t see the copyright line.

    Thank you

    Hi there, I added the CSS for you at the beginning of the custom code block and it’s now working:

    Forcing it to one line with the existing credits doesn’t work, so it’s on two lines.
