How do I turn off featured post? The blog I need help with is thehomesickchef.comNovember 5, 2012 at 4:14 am #125332
Hi there. Featured Posts are those that you’ve marked Sticky from within your Dashboard. If you remove the Sticky property from that post then it’ll go back into its normal chronological order and the “Featured” text of it will go away. Hope that helps!November 5, 2012 at 7:23 am #125345
I was wondering what sticky was. Ok, how exactly do I remove the sticky property?
Also, maybe you can tell me what is the difference between a premium theme and a regular theme that I upgrade by paying $30? Thanks, again!November 5, 2012 at 8:07 am #125348
I think you may have already answered this question for me, but I cannot find the response anywhere. I somehow deleted my about link from the top of the page. How do I get that back? Thanks!November 5, 2012 at 8:11 am #125349
See this for more information on changing your post visibility (i.e. turning stickies on and off).
Also, maybe you can tell me what is the difference between a premium theme and a regular theme that I upgrade by paying $30?
So, those are two entirely different things. A premium theme is, simply put, a theme that’s not free. This can be for a number of reasons, but it typically has to do with a) the theme’s unique design, b) the theme’s unique functionality, and c) the additional support that you receive for the theme either directly from us at WordPress.com or the developers of the theme.
A Custom Design upgrade is available to anyone, regardless of which theme they’re using. This includes Custom CSS, Custom Fonts, and Custom Colors for your site. Whether or not you’re using a free or premium theme doesn’t matter at all for this upgrade. It’ll work with whatever theme you’re using.
Hope that helps and let me know if there’s anything else that needs clarification. Cheers.
