Hi there, I want to move to the next level, protect my images and also have a simple shop on my site for people to purchase copies of my photos?

This is kind of two questions but they are related.

I know there is a way or a software hack where you can embed something to stop people downloading your image for free. Secondly, I know there is a simple shop option where people just click on a URL link or a button. Can you direct me? Thanks:-)

The blog I need help with is socialbizandtech.wordpress.com

I know there is a simple shop option where people just click on a URL link or a button.

We have two simpler payment options on WordPress.com that you can check out here:

    Simple Payments – https://en.support.wordpress.com/simple-payments/

    Store – https://en.support.wordpress.com/store/

Let me know if you have any questions about either option.

There is no foolproof way to prevent people from downloading images on the web. No matter what you do, people can always take a screenshot of your images . If you are uploading original artwork or photography and this is a big concern, you might think about watermarking your images in a graphics program before uploading them. Here are a couple of tutorials on how to do that with free graphics software:

Or you can use the program of your choice, depending what you have available on your computer.
