    I’d like to hide the tags please. Do I use CSS code for this?

    And is there an option to hide the tags and NOT the categories?

    My blog: https://beyourselfie.wordpress.com/

    Thank you!

    Hi, Misty. Tags and categories are mixed together in Poly, so hiding one and not the other is a bit tricky.

    Here’s an example of what the HTML code looks like:

    <div class="meta-text">
    This entry was posted in
    <a rel="category tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/category/ootd/">#OOTD</a>
    and tagged
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/casual-sunday/">casual sunday</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/fashion/">fashion</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/kohls/">kohls</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/lululemon/">lululemon</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/ootd-2/">ootd</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/outfit-of-the-day/">outfit of the day</a>
    ,
    <a rel="tag" href="http://beyourselfieblog.com/tag/style/">style</a>
    .
    </div>

    To remove the both categories and tags, you could add:

    .meta-text {
      display: none;
    }

    To remove just the tags, you could try:

    .meta-text a[rel="tag"] {
         display: none;
    }

    …but as you’ll see, that does not remove the commas nor the words “and tagged” – so it’s not an ideal solution.

    Thank you very much Kathryn! That worked.

    I have 1 more question. Is there a way to make the home page 3 columns instead of 4?

    Thanks again,
    Misty

    Glad that worked!

    In terms of columns, Poly is a fluid theme and the number of columns automatically changes to fit the width of the browser window. If you make your browser window a bit smaller, for example, you’ll see that there are three columns. Changing Poly a from fluid to fixed layout so that the number of columns is always three is a major structural alteration. You can learn more here about the different types of web layouts:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/theme-layouts/

    You could try something like this to restrict the width to 960px at screen sizes wider than that:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 960px) {
      body {
          margin: 0 auto;
          width: 960px;
      }
    }

    I’d also suggest testing the site at various browser widths and on mobile devices after making this change to make sure there are no unintended consequences and everything looks how you’d like it to.

    Glad you’re set! I’ll mark this thread as resolved but feel free to start a new one if you need help with anything else.
