How do I delete blog at WordPress etc. at the bottom of the page?

That text can’t be deleted, because all WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links at the bottom of the page, even our VIP bloggers.

How do I change my blog to WordPress.org. Will that solve the issue?
I have a professional site and we would like to delete that text, and I purchased the custom CSS. Please let me know what is the best way to go about removing this from the bottom.

Hi Reese,
We do not permit removal of the footer text on WordPress.com, even if you have the Custom Design upgrade.
Moving your blog to a self-hosted WordPress.org site will solve the issue, because you’ll be able to put whatever text you’d like in the footer.
For guidance on moving your site to a WordPress.org install, please see this support document.
Keep in mind that if you move your blog to a WordPress.org installation, you will not be able to take your theme with you. This means that if you still wanted to use Newsy, you would need to purchase the self-hosted version from Themify.me.
Ok … Will I lose my information ( Categories, Pages, Blog Posts etc.) If I transfer my blog over to the Newsy version of Themify.me on WordPress.org
& How long does it usually take to get a refund from this Newsy version for WordPress.com
You can export your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags, and import them into your self-hosted site. Here are instructions for Exporting your content: http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

If you would like a refund for Newsy, you can either initiate it yourself (go to Dashboard > Store > Store) or reply here confirming that you want a refund, and I can take care of it for you.
I would like to confirm that I would like a refund. Will I receive a credit on my account? Or will I receive the full amount back to the card that I used to purchase the theme?

Also BEFORE you delete the theme… All of the posts, etc including pictures will remain on this site right? its only the theme that will be deleted all of the posts, content, and uploaded material will still be here until I do the guided transfer? Also with the Newsy theme from themify, I will be able to put the information back into the site so that it looks like my site now?

Your posts, images, etc, will not be removed, only the theme. Your widgets may need to be rearranged/reconfigured on your new theme, but you will not lose any of your content. Everything will remain in place until you do the guided transfer.
When you have the Themify version of Newsy set up on your self-hosted site, you can import your posts from your WordPress.com site. The Themify version of Newsy may differ slightly from the WordPress.com version, but you’ll be able to modify it to suit your needs.
If you’d still like a refund, please confirm. You’ll receive the full amount that you paid for the theme.
