How do I hide the featured image from appearing in my posts? I need to have a featured image solely for the times when I’m making it sticky to appear in the slider. The slider requires a fautured image. But then the image appears above my actual post and looks strange. Please look at all the posts on this page: http://jimcutlerblog.com/page/2/

Each one has the unwanted featured image above my post. I I simply delete the Featured image, then I can no longer pick that post to appear in the slider. Is there a setting some where for : “Do not show featured image in actual post”?

The blog I need help with is jimcutlerblog.com

I can clarify my original post above: With the Featured Image turned on I get an unwanted duplicate image above each post. I could just delete the featured image and the post would look correct without 2 of the same images. However, not having a featured image, would stop me from putting that post in the slider. The slider requires a featured image. Is there a “Don’t use featured image in actual post” box I can check?

Or is there another way to do this? Thank you in advance.

There isn’t currently an option for that in ThemeMin but we’ll look into upgrading ThemeMin in the near future to better allow posting using a slider with featured images and shorter posts.

With ThemeMin I recommend only using featured images on longer posts where the content won’t be duplicated or even using a custom image for your featured image.

OK thanks themeshaper. This is a very nice theme, you can see that it’s going to be important to add this for anyone who wishes to use the slider feature. Thanks for your reply.
