    I would like the menu part to be smaller. It is a lot of empty space. I’d rather show the blogs more or insert a header picture. I did that but than everything moves down so far that you could not see the blogs at all.
    Thank you,

    The blog I need help with is thebrightsideoflifebydaniela.com

    Hi Daniela. If you’d like the menu to be smaller then try this Custom CSS:

    #access a { padding: 6px 12px; }

    You can enter this under Dashboard → Appearance → Custom Design → CSS.

    With regard to the header image, we have plans to allow flexible height/width support in Eight. In the meantime, if you upload a header image I could probably give you some Custom CSS that will help you reduce the height/width of the header. Thanks.

    Thank you Philip, that would be great. So I just copy and paste it in CSS deleting the generic text that was there?

    I tried some header images out that are available under custom design but couldn’t use them because the colors didn’t have enough contrast to the color of my menu text. Is it possible to change the menu text color? (eg. Home, About me,.., currently in white color)

    Thank you!

    You can also do this with Custom CSS, for example

    #access a { color: #000; }

    I hope that helps and let me know if there’s anything else you need!
