    Hi,

    I’ve recently purchased the Elemin theme. I think it’s awesome except the “black” colour scheme is actually grey!
    Having paid $75 for the theme through wordpress, I’m gutted that something so simple is stopping our site looking exactly how we want it to look.

    Is there a way you can change this for us without incurring more expense?

    Thanks,

    Hi Keith,

    I’m sorry the black color scheme is not entirely to your liking. We have no plans to change the design of the Elemin theme at this time, but you can use CSS (available through the Custom Design upgrade) to tweak the colors so that they look exactly the way you want them to. This is a paid upgrade, however.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the note. Can you please give me a refund on my purchase and confirm when that’s been done.

    I do need a theme that is black and I’m not prepared to pay an additional $30 for the custom design upgrade.

    Thanks,

    Keith

    Hi,

    I’ve just been on the themify website who build this theme. I’ve been using their test site and have been playing around with the Elemin theme. On here I can change the “page wrap” to black, it’s really simple to do too, without editing the CSS.

    Is there really no way that I can change this without needing to purchase the custom design upgrade? It seems like such a simple change.

    @kindletrails

    Since WordPress.com version of the theme has been built differently from the theme for a self-hosted version, I’m afraid, at this point, there is no way to change the color without editing the CSS.

    I can cancel your theme purchase and give you a refund if you like. Please confirm if you want us to cancel.

    Thanks

    Ok, thanks for the reply. I will try the CSS but I am disappointed that such a simple change is not straight forward without incurring additional costs.

    Which part of the CSS do I need to change to make it black?

    Also, you may want to change the name of the “black” theme to “grey”. It is a little misleading at the moment.

    Here is the snippet you need to make the page to have black background color.

    #page {

    background-color: #000;

    }

    Also, you may want to change the name of the “black” theme to “grey”. It is a little misleading at the moment.

    Thanks for your suggestion. We will keep that in mind.

    Thanks. That’s worked a treat.
