    Hi- I have uploaded a custom header and it appears BELOW the red bar. I have the custom upgrade but I am not sure what CSS code to use to do this:

    I’d like to make the red bar very narrow, and have my four menu items listed ACROSS the bar, not going DOWN the left edge. Is that possible with CSS?
    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is happydaywestchester.com

    Hi there, to add a menu under your site title and tagline at the top, first you’ll need to assign a menu to your primary menu area under Appearance > Menus.

    Next to “Select a menu to edit” choose Menu 2 (Primary Menu) from the dropdown. Add your desired menu items to the menu.

    https://happydayplaces.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php?action=edit&menu=201471116

    That will get your main menu at the top left of your header strip.

    To get the menu stretching out the whole width of the header (intead of to the left), you’ll need to add this to your custom CSS:

    #masthead {
    padding: 0;
    }

    .main-navigation {
    float: none;
    margin: 0 20px;
    right: auto;
    text-align: center;
    width: auto;
    }

    .menu-main-menu-container {
    display: inline-block;
    }

    .menu {
    text-align: left;
    }

    #search-wrap {
    float: none;
    margin: 0;
    position: absolute;
    top: 12px;
    right: 0;
    }

    Let me know if this accomplishes what you’re after.

    Thanks.

    This did do exactly what I asked for, so thank you very much. Unfortunately, it does not look good, so I cant use it!

    Back to the drawing board.

    My pleasure. I’m marking this thread as resolved and closing it, but feel free to start a new one if you need help with anything else.
