GinnyMemberHow can I move the comment (red box) to the bottom of the post?
The blog I need help with is ginnyguerry.wordpress.comOctober 10, 2012 at 12:14 pm #123993
philiparthurmooreMemberHi there. Unfortunately this isn’t possible due to the default HTML and CSS of A Simpler Time. A lot of position absolute/relative defaults are in place and overriding them to the point of positing the comment stamp at the bottom of the post isn’t possible. If there’s anything else I can help you with please let me know.

GinnyMemberHi, thanks for the info.
I was trying to put different pages under the parent page and they have not shown up. I’m nestling them under the parent page after I post, but they never show up at the top. Help!

philiparthurmooreMemberHi again. I’m terribly sorry for missing the second part of your question.
I was trying to put different pages under the parent page and they have not shown up. I’m nestling them under the parent page after I post, but they never show up at the top. Help!
Do you mean on your Custom Menu page? Can you give me more information about this, and tell me exactly what you’re trying to change with specific links to post/pages or more information about what you’re trying to do? Thank you.

GinnyMemberI have a page called Catalyst Coaching. I would like to have other services offered below it – nested. For example I have created a book club and would like someone to hover over Catalyst Coaching and see the other pages with different offerings (Book Club, Retreats etc)
I created a page for the Book Club for Women and under page attributes put this under the parent Catalyst Coaching. I save it by “updating”. When I see my site “live” however, I do not see the Book Club showing up.
Suggestions?
1. Btw – I understand that the comment box cannot be moved, but it’s weird to read a blog and then have to return to the TOP to find a button to reply.
2. The font has been changing on this site. I bought this template for the color/font/background – then after I purchased it some large boxy font showed up instead. I decided to live with it while I learn. The last week, the original, beautiful scripted font returned and it was beautiful! And now it’s gone again. I view my site on a Mac and PC. I use Google Chrome and Explorer – and the viewing is consistent between the two. Can you return the pretty font?
Thanks!

philiparthurmooreMemberThank you for the explanation. With regard to nesting pages underneath “Catalyst Coaching”, you can do this by going to Dashboard → Appearance &rarr: Menus and adding pages into your custom menu, and then dragging those pages underneath and to the right of “Catalyst Coaching”. For more information, see this page.
With regard to the comment box, you make a good point, but due to the design of the theme and the theme’s CSS, there’s not a ton that can be done at this point to change things. It’d be too disruptive for current theme users.
The fonts that ship with the theme rely on Google Fonts. They should look exactly like the screenshot from the theme’s Showcase page. If your connection to Google is disrupted then those fonts won’t load and web-safe, fallback fonts will be used. I just looked at your site and I’m seeing the right fonts. Could you supply me with a screenshot of what your site looks like if you feel the fonts are off?
Thanks.

GinnyMemberYour support is terrific! I’m all nested and cozy. I don’t know how I missed the link you shared above with directions for nesting.
The font has changed back to the one in on the Showcase page. If the other one shows up again I will take a screen shot and share it. The “random” font is STUNNING! Oh well, I really appreciate your help – thanks!
