    I would like to use six separate tags for each feature to make my front page diverse. Is that possible? I love the theme!

    In other words, can I select the six posts for my front page?

    I’m glad you like the theme!

    Only a tag can be used for the featured content posts but if you create a new tag and choose six posts to tag with the newly created tag. In this way you can select whatever the six posts.

    Also if you tick “Hide tag from displaying in post meta and tag clouds.” under Settings -> Reading Settings -> Featured Content, you can hide the newly created tag in post meta and tag clouds. In other words, you can use the tag to just choose the six featured content posts.
