Hi, I asked this question here (http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/pinboard-add-likes-and-comments-counts-at-base-of-each-article-on-front-page?replies=2#post-1094781) and was given some advice that doesn’t match the outcome I’m hoping for.
I turned on the Settings -> Sharing -> Show Buttons On -> Front Page, Archive Page and Search Results and this added a great deal of visual overload to the front page of my site.
I just want a simple bar running across the bottom of each post in a pleasant style with something like a small heart icon and a number (number of likes) and a small dialog icon and a number (number of comments). If the visitor wants to Like / Comment, perhaps they could click anywhere on that bar, as well as on the title of the post etc, to go to the individual post view.
So, just to show an example of a comment count appearing at the bottom of posts: http://titandemo.wordpress.com/ — the “Layout Tests” post indicates 9 comments.
Is that possible for a future iteration of Pinboard?
