Hi there. I’m afraid something like this isn’t possible. Did you see this somewhere else on a Pinboard-themed blog or are you asking in general?April 28, 2013 at 11:37 am #133856
yes i saw some demonstration on pinboard :
i want my blog like this way, hv a pic slide show on top so wonder can i ,
is it possible? or i need to buy other custom thing?May 6, 2013 at 3:33 pm #134183
Howdy! The theme you’ve noted is a different Pinboard theme; it just happens to have the same name as the theme on WordPress.com, but does not have the same design or include the same features (like the slider).
You would need to move to a self-hosted WordPress blog (off WordPress.com) to use the other Pinboard theme.
I hope this clarifies!May 17, 2013 at 8:42 pm #134599
Hi lawlu, do you still need help or are you all set?May 21, 2013 at 12:01 pm #134711
hi..no i stopped to use as i still want to hv a slideshow on the beginning of the blog, i tried to visit a web which can download the template i want, but seems it need to do some coding, dunno how to do…
any suggestions?June 7, 2013 at 7:03 pm #135312
Howdy @lawlu, if you’ve downloaded a theme or template, you won’t be able to use it on WordPress.com. We don’t allow users to upload their own themes; the only themes for WordPress.com are the ones in the Theme Showcase.
You can read about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
I hope this clarifies! I’m going to close this topic and mark it as resolved, since the original question has been answered. If you have further questions about Pinboard, please don’t hesitate to create a new topic. Thanks!
